U.S. Mint Silver Peace Dollar sku-887446652 468874466528

This U.S. Mint Peace Silver Dollar is listed in Silver under Collectible Coins and Bullion. The listing identifies it as a 1922-1935 Brilliant Uncirculated coin with .7734 oz of silver. APMEX says its numismatic team selects coins without signs of wear and with their original mint luster.

Each coin is individually sealed in a protective, non-reactive, tamper-evident RF-welded plastic polymer authentication card to protect its finish; APMEX says the sealed package guarantees the investment indefinitely. The card insert has a winter scene, and the case measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/4". The title calls it a Dove of Peace card. Anthony de Francisci designed the coin.

Its obverse shows Liberty facing left in a radiate crown similar to those on Roman coins; the listing says his depiction was based on the Statue of Liberty. The reverse shows a bald eagle on a rock holding an olive branch, a symbol of peace after WWI. Multiples of 10 come in a 10-Count APMEX MintDirect Singles box measuring 5" x 2 5/8" x 3 1/2".

Multiples of 20 come in a 20-Count box measuring 10" x 2 5/8" x 3 1/2". The stackable boxes hold MintDirect or MintDirect Premier TEP Singles and fit with APMEX Mini Monster Boxes and the APMEX Monster Box. A display box may be added to an order. Dates and mint marks are selected from available stock and may vary.

Peace Dollars were minted from 1921 to 1928 and again in 1934 and 1935 after legislative changes. The design came from a contest for a new dollar; the listing describes the Peace Dollar as one of the shortest-minted U.S. currencies and the last Silver Dollar minted. SKU: sku-887446652.
