The ML50-12LI is a sealed, rechargeable, maintenance-free 12V 50Ah lithium iron phosphate battery listed as a drop-in lead-acid replacement compatible with the Altronix Corp. BT12-40. It measures 7.75 inches x 6.50 inches x 6.75 inches and has internal-thread terminals.
The package contains the battery and screws, with no wire harness or mounting accessories. Its stated life expectancy is 2500 cycles compared with traditional sealed lead-acid batteries. The built-in BMS provides high- and low-voltage, high-current, high-temperature, short-circuit and overcharge protection. It can be connected in parallel or in series with a maximum of 4 identical batteries.
Use a compatible lithium charger and keep the terminals tight; loose terminals can build up heat and damage the battery. It carries a two-year warranty.
