They are designed as direct replacements for the Liebert PSA700 UPS. Compared with AGM batteries, the GEL cells have a slower self-discharge rate and hold their charge longer in storage or during inactivity.
They are designed to deliver backup power across a wide temperature range, including hot and cold conditions and temperature changes. Thick, non-spillable gel paste reduces the chance of acid leaks and harmful fumes and improves resistance to vibration and shock, including in mobile use.
