Unbranded Other E6B Flight Computer sku-13455759928

The Unbranded E6B flight computer is a circular slide rule used in aviation and is sometimes called a "whiz wheel." The title calls it a 10X flight computer. 1. It is an analog calculating device still in widespread use. 2. On the ground, it helps calculate fuel burn, wind correction and time en route. 3.

In flight, it helps calculate ground speed, estimated fuel burn and an updated arrival time; its back is designed for wind vector calculations and assessing wind effects on speed and course. 4. Some users prefer a manual E6B because it is lighter, smaller, less prone to break, usable one-handed and without electrical power, and quicker for them to use than an electronic version. 5.

Digital E6Bs can be faster to learn initially, but many flight schools still require mechanical E6B training, and pilots are encouraged to bring one to written exams and checkrides for calculations. Color: Other. Shop All School Supplies; sku-13455759928.
