The Laiye 1000W grid-tie solar inverter supports battery and PV modes for grid-connected installations and has an MPPT controller. Its limiter controls how much solar power is exported, addressing meters that count exported energy as consumption. This 2nd-generation unit includes an acquisition meter that measures load consumption through a current sensor and sends readings to the inverter over RS-485. The inverter uses that external power acquisition data to match output to the measured load and limit excess export. To connect the sensor: 1. Run the RS-485 cable from the AC power acquisition meter to the inverter's 485 port. 2. Insert the transmitted current sensor output into the collector's CT-IN port, which has no + or - polarity. 3. Connect the collector's AC-IN input to the AC supply feeding the load; its indicator lights when powered. 4. On the inverter LCD, open the battery grid connection menu and set {Bat AutoLimit Grid} to Y. 5. Connect the inverter to AC mains first, then connect the battery. With the meter and setup in place, the inverter outputs the power detected by the collector and automatically limits excess export.
