Insulation is a heat- and moisture-resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with a nylon jacket for added protection. The nylon jacketing resists abrasion, heat, moisture, gasoline, and oil, and the cable is suitable for use in both damp and dry locations with a 90C capacity in dry environments. THHN / THWN insulated stranded copper is designed for use in conduit and cable trays for services, feeders, and branch circuits, and is also appropriate for machine tool, appliance, and control-circuit wiring.
